already. We are doing a '70s theme party for my DH this Sunday
for his 40th BD. We are having '70s music, asking people to dress
up in '70s style, having '70s food and happy face decorations
all over the place. We are having chocolate fondue, strawberry
bavarian cream (very big where I am from in the '70s), Bugles
chips, California dip (good old sour cream and onion soup mix)
and hamburgers and hot dogs (DH's favorites and poplular anytime
I know). Having Dr. Pepper, Coke and 7-up. Anything else you
can think of to make this party happening? We even got DH a pair
of hi top converse tennies to wear (he wore red and white ones
in HS, our school colors). Going to turn baggy jeans into bell
bottoms, I have a striped top like we wore then and will add
an inset into my jeans to make bell bottoms, maybe wear a bandana.
I just got my hair cut, supposed to be one of the modern shags,
but I swear it could pass for a real '70s ne almost...oh well,
good timing I guess and it will grow. For the invitation I used
the Partridge font and partidge border. On the bottom I added
a '70s trivia question, "What popluar '70s show is the font
and border associated with. You wouldn't believe how many people
who called in their RSVPs answered that before they hung up the
phone. Loads of fun. Oops, didn't mean to run on like that but
this party gets me going! Sure wish I looked all this up ages
ago! Thanks for having such a fun site!
