Today started out really staunch. But got better as the day went on. By the time I got home, I was in a fair mood. 4 letters in the mail. Had tacos for supper.
I called Buster. He was so sweet! I asked how his week-end was, how was the play ("a BORE") how is his throat, ("killing me"), did he rest yesterday, ("plenty"). He was singing on the phone! He was really sweet! I called him "hun" tonight! Ha, ha!
Also talked to Pick, and Stacey, and about broke my ear!!

Tuesday, May 2, 1978

Today was alright.
School was a bore. Took a science test.
Didn't get no mail.
Weather: Sunny & cold.
Buster situation: Neutral.
Didn't call him. But he seemed in a real good mood. Before the song, "I feel Like Making Love," he said, "I feel like making love to you sweet heart, complete with waterbed and mirrors!" How's that, diary?! Ha, ha!

Wednesday, May 3, 1978

Today was nice. No whoopie ding at school. Took Algebra test. Got "A+" on Science test.
Barfed up my supper. But I feel okay now.
Called Buz. He was really nutty. I recorded our convo with Bob's recorder that I borrowed yesterday. Buster's so sweet!
Watched Leif Garrett on "Rock 'n' Roll Sports Classic." He's cute!
Can't wait till Friday to see my Pooh-Bear & Toni in Hawaii! Sure is gonna be good!

Thursday, May 4, 1978

Good enough. School was blah.
Rained all day. Icky!
Now that I sit down and look back on it, today was a total bore! Didn't call Buster today.
Do you realize that this is the first diary I written in every single day?! And I plan to not miss a day. That way, I can spend the rest of my boring life reading this boring diary!
Sandy called and asked me to go to the mall with her Saturday. I said that would be farm out & freaky!

Friday, May 5, 1978

Today was GREAT!!!
C&T were fantastic. Daryl didn't wear his hat most of the time! They showed him in shorts & a tank top, too! He also sang!!! And of course Toni was beautiful as usual. Check out clipping.
Nice talk with Buster. Look in junk drawer.
I Love Toni & Daryl. They're the greatest!! Sure hope I meet them some day!!!

Saturday, May 6, 1978

Today was cool. Got up, watched cartoons, listened to Buster. Terry Alan was at the Metro Centre, I asked Buz if he was gonna be there. He said no.
Went shopping with Sandy. Mall, K-mart, Venture, McDonalds, then Grandmas. Got tape for C&T tomarrow, and some skateboard gloves. Saw some real neat satin clothes I want! I have to get them!

C&T on Battle of Network Stars!
Today was really nice. Went to mall with ma. Got new outfit including green satin pants!! I love 'em!
The Battle of the Network Stars was really GR-8! Pooh in bikini trunks! I couldn't believe it! He's such a hunk! Wow, and what a nice chest! He's really funny too!
Rained all day.
Well, gotta make like a banana and split!

Happy Birthday Toni! Toni's 35th B-day!
Neat day! Wore satin pants to school. People loved them!
Called Buz cuz he dedicated a song to a certain girl, when he told me he can't do that (see 2-13). he explained she's a friend of the bosses'. he said, "Ya understand what I'm saying to ya woman?" so he played LWKUT for me, and I had him say, "In celebration of toni Tennille's 35th birthday. Happy Birthday Toni, from the Stereo Z!" Wasn't it sweet of him to do that?! happy Birthday Toni!!!

Today was alright. School was a bore. It didn't rain, but it was very cold and windy!
Buster was acting a little "strange" on the air, so I didn't call him. After an add that said "Ducky's supplies everything for the prom but your date," he said "That's okay, I'd rather have a raisin!" He's we-e-eird!!
I've been reading back on some of the stuff that I've written in here, and it's really funny! Do you realize I've already had a broken heart twice this year? I heal quickly!!!
Did you know that tennis players have fuzzy balls? Ha, ha, ha, ha!

Today was beautiful. The weather was just lovely!
Earned some extra money by washing the car. Gonna go with some friends to see "Saturday Nite Fever" tomarrow.
Man, was Buster strange tonight! I called, and he sounded like a crazy nut! He was breathing heavily, and acting like a nut! He called me "baby" tonight! He's never done that before. He said something about freaking his brains out and boiling them for supper! I said he was gross! Did Andy Gibb immitation, sounded more like a chimp.

Thursday, May 11, 1978

Today was rainy, but nice otherwise.
Went with 3 friends to see "R" rated movie, "Saturday Night Fever" at Chilli. It was really good! Dirty too! Nice movie!!!
Got home around 20 till 10. Missed most of Buz, but called him as soon as I got back. He asked why I was calling so late. Told him why. He's seen it, and asked if I liked it. I said yeah. We both agreed that there was alot of dancing and "carrying on"!! Ha, ha!

Friday, May 12, 1978

Well, they say the 3rd time's a charm! Looks like my heart's getting a little more wear and tear. First, Let me tell you about my day. It strated out great! Mom let me stay home. Me, her, and Aunt Dot went shopping. I got elbow pads, and an Andy Gibb t-shirt. The weather was great, but started to rain at about 4:30. On KZ-93, they're having a dream night contest where the winner will go to a fancy restaurant with Buster and TomWood, then to a rock concert where they will sit together in the front row, and go backstage afterwards!! Guess who's gonna be outta town that day? You got it, Sherlock! I'm going to a Cub game. Shit! I called Buz, and told him that. He was truly disapointed! He said he thought he would see me there, and that I might even win the contest. Oh, how I wish! It was so sad on the phone! He was so sincere, and when I said I wasn't gonna be there, he went silent which is very unusual for Buster!! Then I changed the subject and asked when he can take me & gang through KZ. "Couple weeks" he said.

Today was el dullo! Rained all day. Went nowhere, nor did I call Buster. Oh, how I love that man! I long to be held in his arms, and kiss his warm lips! I want to rest my head on his chest, and hold his hand in mine. I would give anything to win that dream night contest and be able to go!

BORING!
Went to Heritage House with folks, Mike and Grandma.
Came back home. Bob, Shar, & Chad came over.
Watched a very exciting Cub-Dodger game. It went 15 innings. We finally won 10-7!!
Developed red blotches on my face that itch.

Monday, May 15, 1978

Didn't go to school . Cause I felt yuck.
Buster's on from 3-8 all this week cuz Charlie's on vacation. Called him. He said a friend of mine called and told him there are rumors floating around the school about us! God, I could have shit! If I find out who said that to him, I'll kill them!! I'm pissed! I don't want to loose Buster for my friend! Guess I just better keep my mouth shut at school from now on!

Tuesday, May 16, 1978

Today was alright. Brought my headphones to school so I could hear Buster. Didn't call him. Watched t.v., did paint-by-numbers of Charlie Brown.
We get to use IBM Selectric typewriters now! I love it!!! They're sooo neat. I can't wait till tomarrow to type some more on it!!
Weather has been cloudy but no rain yet.
Andy Gibb is doing a concert in Chicago June 18th, and it's sold out already!! Shit! I wanted to go

Today was 1/2 way decent! School was ok. Especially typing.
Ma took me to A&W for lunch.
Called Buz. What a great convo! He made me promise not to listen to him in Algebra. When he said "hi" without the "Julie," I said, "this is Julie." He says, "Yeah, I know your voice. I'm not that stupid." I said "Well, ya never know!" And he said Andy sounded like a "chimpanzee in heat!" Buster is just hilarious!
Went up to Stacey's. We watched Andy on "Olivia Newton John." He is beautiful!!! HUNK
So is the weather now. SUNNY & WARM!!

Thursday, May 18, 1978

Good day! Exciting! Someone put a sulfer bomb in a locker. The fire dept. came & put it out. Neato! Smoke all over!
Buz played my song! It was his opening song. Today we talked seriously about math & the beautiful temp. He had to stay late at work to record a commercial. He practiced it on me a couple times.
The temp was great!
Got a Nat. Enquirer with C&T in it. Good picture!!
My life is going pretty good now. Hope it stays that way!!

Today stunk! I really can't explain why. Cuz I don't know.
Hat day & assembly at school where Gordon lifted 400 lbs.
The weather was nice.
Didn't call Buster.
Watched a t.v. show with Scott Baio. He's cute.
Invited myself to Bob & Shar's tomarrow.

Saturday, May 20, 1978

Chad's 3rd B-day!
Today was a real bummer. Bob called & said I couldn't come up. Don & kids came over. Played wiffle-ball & killed me. Called Buz. He was on 1/2 hour early. I asked him about the dancathon June 5th. He's gonna let me know what time he'll be there later. He said, "I'll see you there, & talk to you meanwhile!"
Mike took me skating from 9-11 p.m. It was okay, I guess.

Sunday, May 21, 1978

Today was also gross! I have aches & pains all over from wiffle ball & skating.
Watched Cub-Card game. We won 3-2. That makes the 10 game in a row Cards have lost! Ha, ha!
Mom has been bitching at me all day.
Went to Brem's. They have a really nice typewriter they are willing to let us have for only 70 bucks! Sure hope we get it! I would really love it!

Monday, May 22, 1978

There's only one way to describe today, and that's "dull." Oh, except when me & Kim threw airplanes over the library wall & skipped 4th hour.
Found out about disco dance lessons at Y. Unlikely I'll get to take them.
Worked on room. Went to store, but they were all out of squirtguns! Get 1 tomarrow.
Didn't bother Buster.
Got one letter in mail.
I can't wait to see Buz June 5th. Please Lord, let it turn out alright! I want soooo bad to see him again!

Tuesday, May 23, 1978

Today was okay. At school: got squirted a bunch, put Sherry in the sink, took Algebra test.
Went to Doc's for blood test. Stopped at Dairy Queen on the way back home.
Turned radio on at 5:30 & Buz was on. Called him. Charlie has larangitus so he took his place.
Went to K-mart for squirt gun. Ran into Lisa, who I haven't spoke to since Jan. 19. Had a nice friendly chat & went on with my business. Besides the squirt gun, I got a good magazine with Andy in it.
Buz was on from 3 to 8. On the phone, he said "infuction" instead of infection. Ha, ha!!!

Wednesday, May 24, 1978

Not good, not bad. The first thing that happened at school, security cop took away my "CHiPS" squirt gun. In S.H. the teacher told me I had to stay after school. But I didn't.
Hot out; in 80's! Whew!
Sweetie played my song & dedicated it to "Chilli's IVC."
Ma mailed him a letter today to put some sort of reminder on the air. I told him to "look" for it. He said he'll be sure it gets on the radio.
One year ago tonight I saw C&T in concert! I wish I could go back again!

Today leaned toward the good side.
Got my period at school (morning). The pain is unbearable! I hate it!!
They drew the name for the dream night contest. It was a lady, so I had to call Buster! I was so happy! He said, "She's bringing her husband along!" Ain't that great? Now I don't have to worry! I told him to tell Foreiner I said "hi." Ha, ha. He said he would. He's also gonna get ma's announcement on for me! He says Tom Wood is married & got a kid. So, who cares?
Got up to 88.

Friday, May 26, 1978

Today was good. Got 2 squirtguns at school. One was taken away. Ma got me one today. She also picked up the KZ-93 shirt I had made and got me a new C&T one!!
Went to Cow & Fishes for somewhat of a family reunion. Had food. Went swimming, played with Chad. Watched Cub-Card game. We won 6 zip.
I didn't listen to Buster at all until game was over at 15 till 10. He, for some reason was on until 15 after.
The temp got up to 90!! It was neat!!

Saturday, May 27, 1978

Pretty Good. Went shopping. Got bikini & couple mags. While at mall, heard Buz play "my song" as his opening song! He's so sweet. Called him. Told him to have a nice time tomarrow at the concert. He told me to have fun too. I LOVE him.
I got some tan, cuz I laid out in my new bikini.
Can't wait till tomarrow to see that Cub game! We bought some binoculars to take with. It's gonna be great!
High was 91.
Ya know, Buster must really like me! He plays my song as often as he can, he calls me pet names, he always sounds anxious to see me!

Sunday, May 28, 1978

Today was quite an experience! Here's a clipping. I could have touched Bill Buckner, Dave Rader, Larry Cox, Joe Wallis & Paul Reuschel. We had perfect seats on the 3rd base line only 14 rows up from the field! They only played 5 innings, but what they did was great!! The players are even better lookin' in person! Greg Gross socked a ball right into their pitchers head. You should have seen him fall! It was sooo scary!! I think I got some good pictures. I tried real hard to get autographs, but they were in too big of a hurry. But I was soooo close to them!

1/2 day of school
Today was grand! Got out of prison at 9:30. Went to a mall in LaSalle with Ma & Aunt Dot. Took final exam in English. Got lots of good stuff at the mall.
Called Buz. He was great tonight! Really funny & sweet! He sang to me on the phone. We talked about all kinds of stuff, like Indiana, our weekends, the nice weather, and the dance one week from tonight! He'll be there at 10-2 p.m. & a.m. Ya know, 10 that night. He really answered the phone funny tonight! He was having a convo with himself! Stra-a-a-nge!

no school
And today was excellent! Laid around the house for awhile. Went to the grocery store with ma. The temp was just right-in the high 70's. cleaned up room (finally!)
Wasn't gonna call Buz, but at about 20 till 9, he played my song, so naturally I called. He's so sweet! He said he figured it out that way. When he was arranging his program, he thought of me! He said, "Julie, there are some sound engineers in here," then he wispered, "so I can't talk right now." He said he cleaned his apartment yesterday, when I said I was cleaning my room.

Wednesday, May 31, 1978

Well, today was pretty nice. Took typing exam. Walked downtown with friends. Ate at Pizza Hut.
Only listened to Buster from 6-7 tonight. Didn't call him.
Watched "the Incredible Hulk", then an okay movie about a werewolf called "Death moon" At 10 PM, watched Burt Reynolds on Dick Cavett.
Tomarrow is the last day of my freshman year! Boy, did that go by fast!! Hope next year does too!
