A few years ago, I got to meet Donny Osmond for the first time since I fell in love with him in 1970 or 1971! Wow! I drove 5 hours to the town in which he and pianist Jim Brickman were performing in Brickman's "Simple Things" concert tour. I was allowed to have a VIP pass due to the fact that I'm a journalist. You can see the newspaper with my column about Donny in his left hand. His thumb is pointing at my mug! Donny was as sweet as you might expect an Osmond to be, very polite and thoughtful! And still as good-lookin' as ever!

'70S CHICK & THE BANDIT -- On May 11, 1991, I met Burt Reynolds in Evening Shade, Arkansas, about 30 miles from my home. He was there to be the keynote speaker at the Evening Shade High School graduation. His CBS series, "Evening Shade," based on the town, was very popular at the time, but I loved him from his Cosmo centerfold days!

Julie and Josh Taylor

Me and Josh Taylor in Chillicothe, Ill. We both attended Illinois Valley Central High School there. This picture was taken at a high school football game my junior year, 1979. At that time, he played Chris Kositchek on NBC's "Days of Our Lives." He went on to a CBS prime-time detective show called "Riker." Now, he is back on "Days" playing Roman Brady. Way to go Josh!!

Peter Barton -- photo by JuliePeter Barton of the Shirley Jones show and more recently of NBC soap opera "Sunset Beach." I got to meet Peter in January 1979 at a car show in Peoria, Ill. What a cutie! I got his autograph and even a kiss. Still a babe 20 years later!

Jimmy Osmond and JulieMore recently, in November 1993, I got to meet Jimmy Osmond and his parents as well as his brothers, Jay, Wayne, Alan and Merrill at their Osmond Family Theatre in Branson, Mo. Yes, they were all as sweet as we have always thought. Jimmy and I are the same age, born in 1963. He's one month younger than me.Click on the thumbnail picture to see me with Jimmy in his office!

The Captain and Julie

Me on Aug. 8, 1978 at Glen Oak Park in Peoria, Ill., with Daryl Dragon of The Captain and Tennille. For the whole story, peek into my diary entries!

Danny Lloyd of the 1980 Stanley Kubrick film, "The Shining." I interviewed Danny, age 7, on Aug. 6, 1980, for my high school newspaper, The IVCene. He lived across the river in Pekin, Ill. He is pictured here at his home with his dog, Mitzi, and wearing a shirt Jack Nicholson gave him, displaying the words "child star." I found Danny to be a very sweet, intelligent little boy. The last I heard, he's teaching school in Pekin, Ill.
