When this month was written, I was 12 and 13 years old and in the seventh and eighth grades at Mossville Junior High School (Illinois). Days skipped indicate I didn't write in my diary on that day. BTW, don't quit reading -- it gets much better as the years wear on!! Saturday, February 28, 1976 night of my slumber party Monday, March 1, 1976 Hi. Got to stay home cause of B-day. got all kinds of presents. including this. In car on way home from all stores now. It is now 1:10 Aunt Dot went shopping with us. Tuesday, March 2, 1976 Hi. I just got out of school. You know what? I really do like one of my teachers (alot)! But he likes me too! I've like him for a long time now. He's so nice. Well, I better shut up now before I say too much. Wednesday, March 3, 1976 (my B-day) Hi. Well now I'm 13 years old. Dawns on tonight. Tony's so handsome. I got lots of presents. Even Mr. Swille & Mr. Lindholm told me Happy Birthday. Got 4 dollars from Aunt Dot! Well, have to go now. Thursday, March 4, 1976 (Gomez B-Day & Chastity) Hi. I went to game at school. saw Mr. Lindholm & his wife & mom & dad. He's the one I told you I liked a lot. He's so sweet. He came over & sat by me. Time for bed. Friday, March 5, 1976 Hi. Boy am I glad today is Friday. Mr. Lindholm was in a crabby mood today. But everyone has their bad days. It's almost 5:30 Saturday, March 6, 1976 Hi. Today we went into Aunt Dot's. And to mall. Got new reed for sax. It's a little after 8:00 o'clock. Watching Mary Tyler Moore right now. Well, gotta go. Sunday, March 7, 1976 Hi. Mom might get a car. Its a mustang. They kept yellin' at me. So I decided to go. Went in & got on my nicest pair of blue jeans. So what do they say? "NO BLUE JEANS!" So here I am at home! I wasn't writin' cause I didn't have nothin' to write about. Boy do I now! Guess where we're goin' on our vacation? Wrong! not Silver Dollar City! Hollywood! We're stayin' a whole week! And we're goin' shoppin in L.A. and to watch some T.V. shows, and to see stars homes in Beverly Hills! We'll stay at the Mayflower Hotel in L.A. And More!!!! Just think, I might be walking along mindin' my own business and run into Tony DeFranco! We leave July 19th. We're flying on a 747. We make a stop in Denver then straigt to L.A.! Write more later!
